PyrusOS is a 100% Java Multimedia Center focused on devices with touch screen and no mouse or keyboard.
Due to its architecture (it is based on an independent micro kernel which can also be reused without the Multimedia Center) it can be easily extended with third party modules.
The author started the software to create a car-PC system, but now uses it in its living room, where the software is installed in a mini-ITX PC with a custom wood box and a 7" TFT touch screen. Have a look at the screenshots to see photos of the "creature" (not yet uploaded, sorry).
